based in brighton and hove, the dyke modern promotes and encourages lesbians to be creative and empowered. some of us are experienced, others are new to art. our aim is to be welcoming and to learn all sorts of art techniques, inspire each other, play, explore ideas, build confidence, grow healthier, and especially enjoy being together.

we run various activites by and for lesbians such as monthly workshops in art forms -- including sculpture, drawing, textiles, collage and more -- as well as in different aspects of self/community development. we put on exhibitions and artists open houses. for brighton and hove pride we have held two events: a winter day of indulgence with fabulous entertainment and holistic healing and a summer day of unwinding with creative arts.
